As we've reached the time of year where more and more of my network are likely to be preparing a presentation, here's a friendly (but important) reminder: Make your opening memorable ... but for the right reasons!

Start with something that connects you with your audience: Either because it made them smile, it made the think differently or it made them learn something new.
